Children and Young Families

Just as Jesus welcomed the children, they are a welcomed joy here at WPC. They belong! We promise in baptism to nurture them in their faith and well-being, to pray for them, and to let them know they are loved. We are all family in Christ. God’s faithfulness is shown from one generation to the next. Each Sunday there is a time and place for children in worship. We offer opportunities for your child to experience love and guidance from week to week in our Sunday School SHINE Program throughout the school year.
We welcome and encourage you to visit us at Webster Presbyterian Church. If you have any questions about our children’s programs, please contact Gayl Galen, Children Christian Education Director. ggalen@websterpres.org

Our Mission Statement

To equip and nurture the children of God with Biblical knowledge and spiritual development in order to begin their faith journey and become disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our Children’s Programs

Nursery Care

Care for infants through 3-year-olds can be available each Sunday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Adult volunteers are scheduled each week to provide loving and supportive care so that parents have an opportunity for meaningful worship knowing that their children are cared for in a safe, clean and secure environment.
Please contact Gayl Galen
to arrange for care. ggalen@websterpres.org

Church School Classes

A Sunday morning class called SHINE is offered each week for children PreK-5th grade at 9:45 am during the school year.  This program begins each morning with Praise/Prayer (Music and Prayer). Throughout the month the children are involved with bible lessons, music, crafts and outreach projects.

Bible Sunday

In October, children of the Kindergarten and 3rd Grade classes are presented with a Bible of their own.

Church School Mission Project

The children of our Church School classes receive their own box of   offering envelopes for stewardship giving. 100% of their giving supports    two outreach programs:
Little Children of the Philippines
and Cracker Box Palace,
Farm Animal Rescue Center

Family Fellowship

Throughout the year there are special fellowship events for families with young children. These events may be a time just for kids to enjoy fellowship with their church school friends, a family event for both kids and their parents to enjoy together or time for parents to enjoy an evening of fellowship while the kids enjoy a time for crafts and games.
